Christensen is associate director of Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), heading up the Energy and Engineering Sciences Directorate. Among other responsibilities, Christensen oversees the lab’s activities in areas such as energy efficiency, renewable energy concepts, transportation, electricity distribution, fossil energy, and nuclear technology. Prior to joining ORNL, he was principal associate laboratory director for threat reduction at Los Alamos National Laboratory, N.M.
